Bendtech is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our team based in Slacks Creek, QLD.

Our Bodor Tube Laser & our 2 Bodor Sheet Lasers play a key role in delivering precision steel solutions that strengthen industries across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate our Tube & Sheet Laser Machines to meet job specifications and production targets.
  • Load and unload materials with care and precision using Overhead cranes.
  • Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and keep your machine in top shape.
  • Collaborate with your team to drive production excellence.
  • Inspect final products to ensure top-notch quality.
  • Keep accurate production records and maintain a tidy, safe workspace.
  • Sorting and checking off parts.
  • Parts clean-up and Sanding.
  • Controlling sheet metal stock and consumables.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks.

What You'll Bring:

  • A valid Forklift LF Licence. (Essential)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening.
  • Current Australian work rights or valid work visa.
  • Previous experience operating laser machinery. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Strong grasp of metal fabrication techniques and machine maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.
  • The ability to read technical drawings and specs with confidence.
  • Basic computer skills for operating CNC controls and production software.
  • Team spirit, time management, and solid communication skills.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes safely and confidently. (Preferred but not essential)

No experience with our specific machines? No problem. We'll provide full training on our Lasers so you can hit the ground running.
