About the role

As our business continues to expand, we are seeking skilled Machine Operators who are passionate about technical excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for all tasks related to the role, as outlined below. We offer a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with a 5:30 a.m. start, providing a great work-life balance.

Successful Applicants Must Have:

At least 3-5 years of experience operating flow wrap and sealing machines in the food manufacturing industry, with expertise in machine setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards:

Health and Safety

  • Consistently demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, ensuring compliance with all workplace safety standards.
  • Perform hourly stretches to promote physical well-being, reduce injury risks and maintain workplace health standards.
  • Proactively utilize established processes and procedures, performing tasks safely and efficiently, minimizing potential hazards.
  • Strictly follow Lock Out/Tag Out protocols when accessing machinery to ensure the safety of all personnel and prevent accidents.
  • Actively contribute to identifying potential safety risks in the workplace and propose practical solutions to mitigate them.
  • Immediately report any injuries or incidents to the Line Leader/Supervisor and escalate any identified hazards to ensure swift resolution.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for machinery.

Quality Assurance

  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of company-specific CCPs, immediately reporting any deviations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product specifications and quality requirements to ensure all production aligns with company standards.
  • Ensure all daily process control sheets are completed accurately and filed properly, supporting continuous quality control and operational consistency.

Machine Operation

  • Set up packaging machinery to run various products throughout the day, following all appropriate procedures
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and escalate to supervisor or maintenance team if unable to resolve
  • Carry out basic daily and weekly set maintenance tasks
