Senior Systems Analyst

As our Senior Systems Analyst, you will play an integral role in specifying and shaping system requirements, design, solution and operations at Great Southern Bank. You will work closely with the business, vendor and delivery teams, both internal and external, building a detailed knowledge of the Great Southern Bank application ecosystem to ensure deliverables are strategically aligned.
This is a 12-month max-term contract located in Brisbane, offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week while contributing to meaningful, enterprise-wide projects.
You'll make an impact by:
- Work with stakeholders to identify the business needs and obtain, analyse, define, communicate and validate technical requirements for enhancements to our applications.
- Ensure quality deliverables and outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to agreed scope and quality.
- Mentor/coach/upskill other Customer and Enterprise Platform technical resources (Testers/BA's etc) to inform and improve their technical knowledge of the system.
- Leverage technology using lateral thinking abilities to improve and solve a range of business, customer experience and technical challenges.
- Engage and collaborate with Solution architects to ensure all solution designs are fit for purpose.
- Apply a customer lens to everything you do, from solution design through the development process including UI and UX design.
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 7+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Developer or Technical Production Support with demonstrated strong analysis skills, including requirements gathering, and excellent problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding and experience working in eco-systems requiring multiple integration points to a full business solution, understanding of integration systems and micro-services required and how they work together to enable implementation.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the software development life-cycle using different methodologies across agile, iterative, and waterfall approaches.
- Proven experience with business information systems and technology solutions, including Internet and mobile technologies, applications, networks and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage expectations including explaining technical detail to non-technical customers.
- Experience with integrating applications to a Core Banking system.
- Experience in the Financial Industry, specifically Core Banking, Digital applications and/or Origination Systems.
