As part of the ANZ Finance Team, reporting into the Head of Finance ANZ, this role is a key business partner to the ANZ Sales Leadership team, including heads of Grocery, Pharmacy, Online and National Field. You will lead the delivery of gross profit improvements across all channels, embedding trade spend governance, promotional management and standard ways of working across all major national accounts.

This is a 24 month fixed-term role based at either our Surry Hills or Warriewood office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner sales on key business rhythms such as IBP (Integrated Business Planning) & ICP (Integrated Category Planning), ensuring best in class delivery of results and risk monitoring
  • Lead a team of two analysts
  • Lead key workstreams for trade spend optimisation across all channels
  • Preparation and assistance with pricing and analysis of business proposals and new product development for all opportunities
  • Ensure execution of Global Pricing Policy ensuring margin is in-line with agreed strategies.
  • Manage cost proactively through understanding of cost structures/drivers within the business and promoting comparison and benchmarking
  • Analyse and challenge product portfolio to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate value destroyers and maximize the return on investment
  • Prepare annual budget plans in ICP including a review of assumptions provided by the sales Teams.

Who are you?

  • A qualified finance (CA/CPA) professional with recent experience partnering senior sales leaders within a reputable FMCG organisation
  • Previous experience with trade spend, pricing and promotional management
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, P&L management
  • A strong team leader, who can coach, mentor and develop
