Food Services Assistant

The Team:

The Beaconsfield District Health Service consists of a 22 bed facility including Residential Aged care, Respite, Subacute, care and Palliative Care.

Join our close- knit team, a small but vital district hospital providing high quality care to our community. Our staff provide themselves on delivering safe, nutritious meals that support the well-being of patients, residents and visitors.

The Role:

• Assist in the preparation, plating and delivery of meals to patients, residents and staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment in line with food safety standards.
• Wash dishes, equipment and utensils, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, residents and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, hospitality and support teams.

You will need:

• Knowledge of food hygiene, experience in food services or hospitality desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team.
• Reliable, flexible and committed to high- quality service.

Details of appointments:

• Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 60 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
• Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
