Our iconic hospitality venue in South Yarra operates 7 days a week, showcasing a top-quality Bistro, Rooftop Bar, and three dedicated Function Rooms. We have been featured on the news and have remained popular amongst the locals for decades.
Best known for our sensational specials' nights, premium entertainment including trivia nights, live bands, and DJs on weekends. We are seeking a driven sales, marketing, and events professional to take our already solid Functions & Events reputation to even greater heights.
About the role:
Daily Duties
· Maximize sales of functions bookings and events
· Create and convert leads through our website and external booking platforms
· Conduct market research to provide innovating and creative fresh revenue streams
· Work directly with clients to identify their needs, wants and expectations across a full range of events from weddings, birthdays, hen's parties, receptions, wakes etc with a regular '5 star' feedback rate
· Build, design and deliver a full life cycle of events from sales, venue tours, negotiating costings
· Work autonomously to identify areas of process improvement and actively seek change
· Update existing processes to more streamlined (digital) platforms to ensure accuracy and less manual

· Work with social media manager to identify areas for promotion and generate promotional materials
· Work with Venue Manager and Kitchen to create and update pub and function menu on a seasonal basis
· Monitor restaurant and functions phone for enquiries and bookings
Additional duties

· Logg daily bookings (online and phone) and responses are given in reasonable time frame
· Assist with host duties during busy periods
· Work with managers and bar staff to coordinate sporting and other themes event nights for general public
This role will work on rotating 5 -day schedule based on function needs. Weekend and evening work will be required.
About You:
We are looking for an events professional who understands that each event is important no matter the occasion. To be successful in this role, you must be confident, proactive, positive, creative, and goal driven. This role demands a high level of energy, attentiveness, responsibility, and organisational skills. Ideal for someone who can work autonomously as well in a team setting.
The ideal candidate will above all, have a passion for achieving sales goals and customer satisfaction. These roles will suit someone with a track record of closing sales who thrive on the rush of 'getting that deal'. Relevant experience in sales will be highly regarded. Salary on offer will be commensurate with your experience.
Hospitality experience is preferred but not vital, as venue-specific training will be provided for the right candidate. All you'll need to bring is your confidence, 'can-do' attitude and eagerness to grow the business. We will provide the tools for you to excel in your role.
