About the Role
Reporting to the GM – Workplace Relations, the IR Specialist will initially conduct Award mapping across the organisation to review and modernise current people systems and IR practices to improve compliance. Utilising sound risk management processes, the incumbent will proactively develop and implement risk mitigation plans across the full spectrum of IR issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support IR project planning / project execution to ensure our employees are rewarded appropriately for supporting our customers
- Own the project management and governance processes to identify and mitigate IR compliance issues
- Award mapping of roles across the organisation to balance commercial and compliance objectives
- Utilise sound analytical abilities to examine variety of IR situations to optimise compliance and business efficiency.
About You
- Strong knowledge of Australian IR landscape, including modern award and agreement interpretation
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment managing multiple priorities and building key stakeholder relationships
- Sound knowledge of project management processes along with critical thinking and analysis skills, with ability to close projects through complete mitigation
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, IR/ER, law, business and / or possess significant IR experience gained across varying sectors
- Proven experience with Fair Work Act and Awards interpretation and application
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project) and PeopleSoft payroll knowledge (advantageous).
