The Opportunity
We are seeking a Graduate Industrial Relations Consultant to join our Brisbane team as part of our continued national growth.
As a graduate, you will work alongside highly regarded specialists and gain exposure to a wide variety of clients, industries and complex industrial relations matters. What You Will Be Doing
As a Graduate Consultant, you will contribute to a wide range of industrial relations matters. You will:
- Assist in interpreting and applying Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation.
- Support senior consultants on workplace matters including discrimination, bullying and harassment, unfair dismissal, termination, redundancy, industrial action and performance management.
- Gain practical experience in enterprise bargaining processes and negotiations.
- Draft employment policies, procedures and contracts.
- Undertake industry benchmarking and comparative wage analysis.
- Conduct legal research and analyse case law to support client solutions.
About You
We are looking for someone with curiosity, drive and a genuine interest in industrial relations. You will:
- Hold, or be close to completing, a tertiary qualification in Law or Industrial Relations. Graduates in Human Resources with a strong interest in IR are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess excellent research, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Show initiative while also being able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
