About the role

Rapid Linemarking is seeking a TMA Operator to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. As a TMA (Truck-Mounted Attenuator) Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our linemarking crews. This is a full-time position that will involve operating specialised machinery to guide and protect work crews on busy roads and highways.

The role also involves preparing the job site ready for linemarking, along with assisting in loading and unloading machinary. It is important to understand that this position also involves tasks that require manual handling and a good general fitness base.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate the TMA (Truck-Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to provide a protective barrier for our work crews
  • Coordinate with the traffic management team to position the TMA vehicle effectively and safely
  • Monitor traffic conditions and communicate any changes or hazards to the work crew
  • Ensure the TMA vehicle is properly maintained and serviced
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimise risks on site

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a TMA Operator or similar heavy machinery role in the construction or traffic management industry
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic management principles
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from the crew leader or supervisor
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the work crew and other stakeholders
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to following all relevant regulations and protocols
  • Current Victorian driver's licence and appropriate TMA/truck licences
