Payroll Officer

My client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a temporary basis for 3–6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll processing using HR3. This role requires someone who can step in with minimal training and support the smooth operation of the payroll function during a busy period.

The Role

• End-to-end processing of payroll using HR3 for approx 150 employees.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Awards, EBAs, and legislation.
• Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of payroll data.
• Process new starters, terminations, leave, superannuation, and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll and assist with reporting requirements.
• Respond to payroll-related queries promptly and professionally.
• Support month-end and year-end payroll activities as required

The Person

• Essential: Proficiency with HR3 payroll software.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, taxation, and leave entitlements.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
