ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting directly to the Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day accounts processing including accounts payable and bank processing, reconciliations, and daily liquidity management
  • Assisting the Accountant in managing our investments
  • Regular compliance reviews and process improvements
  • Assisting the Accountant in the preparation of regular reporting to the CEO/Board, APRA, annual financial statements, end of month reports, other management reports, statutory and tax returns;
  • Assisting the Accountant in the preparation of draft annual budget, other financial forecasts, and product /cost reviews
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure a high level of service. You will be partnering with internal and external stakeholders maintaining a professional approach at all times
  • Provide support to Member Services as needed, assisting with inquiries, issue resolution, and service delivery
  • Participating in ad hoc tasks to drive overall efficiency

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Financial Services experience in a banking environment, preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience with day to day accounts processing and preparation in end of month accounts and reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior time management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines
  • A team player with a proactive nature and a high attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft packages including excel and word
  • Ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect
