CEHL is a not-for-profit, for purpose organisation, and Australia's largest co-op housing provider, with over 2000 properties managed by 90+ housing co-operatives across Victoria. Co-op housing offers an alternative to private rental and home ownership by providing secure, long-term tenancies at affordable rents within supportive communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
CEHL is focused on creating positive housing outcomes for our partner housing co-operatives, co-op members and renters, as well as providing social and affordable housing options. We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join the Real Estate Services Team where you will deliver CEHL's housing projects and manage all stages of the development process from project identification, assistance with project funding applications , procurement, project delivery, contract administration, project completion & handover and defects management.

- End to end management of multiple Development projects
- Procurement Strategy and Implementation
- Contract and supplier management
- Funding submissions
- Reporting
- Lifecycle project management
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role will suit an experienced Development Manager who has 3-5 years' experience of managing multiple development projects which will be underpinned by:
- a strong knowledge and experience in residential property construction, property development delivery and practice
- knowledge of standard contract arrangements used in the development and construction industry
- understanding of the legal and risk obligations relating to contracts
- current knowledge of state and local planning and land use policies
- understanding of funding & financing options available in the social & affordable housing sector
- a strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to the residential construction industry.
The successful candidate will bring a positive can do attitude, be able to analyse & solve complex issues,, have a proactive work ethic coupled with qualifications in construction, architecture, procurement, project management, business, finance or a related discipline (or extensive experience).
