Your next career opportunity

As a Student Services Representative, you will be part of a busy, student-centered team aiding across a wide range of processes over the phone, live chat, and email. This can include information about enrolments, timetabling , fees, academic statements, student cards and more. As one of the first teams a student will interact with, you will be an ambassador of the University of Melbourne and of Stop 1.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and consistent information via phone , li ve chat, and email channels, taking ownership of enquiries and resolving or referring as appropriate . This is achieved through the effective use of information sourced from a variety of published resources or subject matter experts

  • Ensuring that all interactions are managed sensitively and in accordance with the University's privacy policy. This includes appropriate management of feedback and complaints

  • Assisting with additional student-related activities and projects (such as service desks, orientation events and workshops) as required .

  • Have an undergraduate qualification or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment while working in a collegiate manner with other staff, showing initiative and flexibility, with the ability to rise to a challenge within a changing environment

  • Desirable: Experience working in a tertiary education environment and experience with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

Contact Centre & In-Person Student Support

Our frontline teams provide a range of information, guidance and advice for all coursework students, from general admin and enrolment enquiries to complex course planning and referrals to specialist services. Services are delivered via online enquiries, over the phone and in person .
