BOOKKEEPER

DMW is a growing privately-owned Toowoomba based business with an Australia wide dealer network. We specialize in the manufacture and sales of dual cab conversions, high end trays, canopies, electrical set ups, GVM upgrades, suspension packages and 4WD accessories. Essentially, we build awesome cars for the four-wheel drive industry, tradesmen, tourers and families from all around Australia.

DMW has a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our company based in the Toowoomba office. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's accounting functions.

Reporting to the management team, the successful applicant will be tasked with day-to-day financial control and will oversee all bookkeeping aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and processing weekly payroll, including the calculation of leave entitlements and tax obligations.
  • Generating financial reports and statements to support management decision-making.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop monthly management reports and ensure their accuracy and timely completion for presentation to the director and department managers.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholder relationships including financiers, insurers, subcontractors, vendors and external accountants.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a bookkeeping or accounts payable/receivable role, preferably within a small business or accounting firm.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Proficiency in MYOB accounting software.
  • Problem solving capability and the ability to work confidently and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related field would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with trust accounts would be an advantage.
  • Ability to manage the bookkeeping for more than one business entity.
  • The desire to be a long-term integral part of the planned company development and growth.
