Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens is seeking an experienced and motivated Front Office Manager to join our dynamic team. This 138-room property, set on 10 acres with conferencing facilities, a restaurant, and a games room, provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests and an exciting opportunity for staff.
In this key role the Front Office Manager will ensure the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the Front Office department, achieving maximum guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: S upervising the daily operations of the front office team, ensuring all guests receive excellent service.
- Guest Relations: Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring a memorable guest experience.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee the check-in/check-out process, ensuring smooth guest arrivals and departures. Monitor and resolve any operational issues in the front office.
- Training & Development: Supporting, training, coaching, and motivating front office staff to achieve their potential and provide the highest standard of service.
- Performance Monitoring: Managing team performance, ensuring targets are met and operational standards are consistently adhered to.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, etc.) to ensure guest requests are met promptly and efficiently.
- Night Audit Oversight: Supervise night audit operations, ensuring accuracy of guest accounts and hotel transactions.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate guest records, manage guest reservations, and oversee billing and payments.
- Budget & Financial Management: Managing front office budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a front office supervisory or management role within a hospitality or similar service environment.
- Customer Focused: A commitment to providing excellent customer service and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve guest issues and operational challenges efficiently and calmly.
- Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and within the team.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as RMS, OATs, or similar systems.
- Team Player: Able to inspire and lead a team while working collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Organizational Skills: Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, on a rotating roster.
