Thomas Carr College is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking
Marketing & Community Connections (Events) Manager
to lead the marketing, communications, enrolments and community engagement function.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strategic communicator who can elevate brand presence, strengthen partnerships, and deliver high-quality events and engagement initiatives that reflect the values and culture of the College.

About the Role

The Marketing & Community Connections (Events) Manager will oversee the full spectrum of communications and engagement activity across the College. You will guide brand direction, manage campaigns and content, support enrolments strategy and build meaningful connections with families, alumni, staff and the wider community.

This position has significant visibility within the College and plays a key role in shaping the way the story is communicated to current and future families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the College's marketing and communications strategy
  • Oversee brand identity and ensure strong, consistent messaging
  • Plan and execute campaigns across digital, social, print and community channels
  • Strengthen community partnerships, including primary school engagement
  • Manage end-to-end content creation: photography, video, publications, signage
  • Maintain website and social media presence with fresh, engaging content
  • Lead enrolment and registrar processes to deliver an exceptional family experience
  • Coordinate key school events and ensure high-quality execution
  • Develop alumni engagement programs and communication channels
  • Analyse engagement activity and provide meaningful insights

About You

You are a confident communicator and strategic thinker who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment. You take initiative, build strong relationships, and bring both creativity and structure to your work.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related disciplines
  • Strong digital capability and content creation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building ability
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects with competing priorities
  • Exceptional written and visual communication skills
  • Experience with events and community engagement initiatives
  • Experience in an education environment (desirable)
  • Familiarity with platforms such as InDesign and WordPress (advantageous)
  • Working With Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
