GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public and Private Prisons across Victoria.

The role of Health Promotion Officer  at GEO Healthcare is to assist. The primary role of the health promotion officer is to deliver health promotion services to patients using a range of individual, social and environmental interventions in line with Correct Care's strategic documents. The role requires the incumbent to perform all duties in accordance with the GEO Healthcare Values.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary Qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health or another suitable qualification
• Demonstrated experience in delivering health promotion programs or projects including reporting and evaluation.
• Demonstrates evidence-based practice with an understanding of the social model of health

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work within teams and collaboratively across teams.
• Strong computer and information technology skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.

Other Requirements of the role:

• Valid and current full Australian driver's licence.
• Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
