About the Oral Health Therapist Role
Oral Health Therapists (OHTs) at Your Community Health deliver high-quality clinical care, oral health promotion, and education in a variety of settings including fixed clinics, mobile vans, schools, early childhood centres and aged care facilities to improve oral health outcomes for priority and vulnerable communities.
Reporting to the Oral Health Clinical Coordinator, these roles offer the opportunity to make a real impact on community health, develop professionally, and collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver holistic, client-centred care. We are recruiting to a total of 2.4 FTE, with a combination of full-time and part-time, ongoing and fixed-term opportunities available. Both experienced professionals and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Offices located in Northcote, Preston and Reservoir.
Your Passion and Commitment will see you:
- Exercise clinical autonomy to provide high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred care.
- Promote oral health via individual and group education including Smile Squad and other outreach.
- Utilise prevention-focused, trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches to meet diverse client needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using Titanium and other digital tools.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- A Bachelor of Oral Health Science (or equivalent), Extended Scope preferred
- AHPRA registration and Radiation Use Licence
- A Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various outreach service models
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
