Bookkeeper – System Migration Reconciliation Project (4-Month Contract)

Sydney CBD (above Town Hall Station) | Hybrid WFH | Full-time or Part-time | Immediate Start

Are you meticulous with numbers and passionate about accuracy? This is your chance to play a key role in a high-impact data migration reconciliation project with Australia's largest specialist personal injury law firm.

We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support our finance team during a system migration. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys diving deep into financial data, and wants to make an immediate impact.

Your Responsibilities:

Migration Reconciliation

  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver the migration reconciliation project within set timelines.
  • Perform accurate, timely reconciliations of financial data across two systems (in-house and accounting).
  • Investigate discrepancies and ensure all transactions align.
  • Document processes and maintain compliance with internal controls.
  • Monitor unresolved issues and escalate where required.

Accounts Receivable

  • Reconcile billing data across systems.
  • Match and allocate receipts correctly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or receipting discrepancies.

Accounts Payable

  • Reconcile and match disbursement entries.
  • Investigate and correct mismatches in disbursement data.
  • Process write-offs and transfers as required.
  • Liaise with internal teams to finalise discrepancies and remove disbursements from the accounting system where needed.

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders across the business.
