ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting seasonal opportunity for a Cricket Operations Officer to join the Cricket department during this huge summer of cricket You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of national inclusion, indigenous and pathway championships, ensuring they are executed with appropriate planning and logistical support.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the organization of match day requirements including equipment, scorers, live streaming, match day paperwork, umpires and catering
- Manage the upload of fixtures using Play HQ, and oversee all match scores, ladders and points
- Manage the logistical requirements for event staff and teams as required, including flights, accommodation and transport
- Lead the administration of key working group meetings
- Lead the development and execution of the tournament program/s
- Assist in managing the presentation function and awards evening
- Develop post event surveys and provide a written report for government
- Assist in managing budgets for all community and pathway championships
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the successful Cricket Operations Officer you will have excellent planning and logistic skills. You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience in an event related role
- Experience understanding and managing budgets for large scale events
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time
- Personal qualities aligned with the values of our organisation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel, as a significant amount of travel will be required
