About the Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced  Logistics Specialist to join their team, you'll play a key role in coordinating domestic and international freight movements, managing documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. You will act as the transportation "Customer Service" contact for internal and external stakeholders, troubleshoot logistical issues, and liaise with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure high service levels.

You will also support broader supply chain initiatives, monitor inventory and delivery metrics, manage SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. This is an ideal role for someone with solid experience in freight coordination, inventory control, and ERP systems, who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate freight movements (domestic and international), including quotations and basic documentation (air, ocean, and land freight).
  • Track and monitor the customer order life cycle using ERP and 3PL systems.
  • Book shipments with appropriate carriers and manage related paperwork (returns, charitable shipments, drop shipments).
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery documentation and monitor carrier/warehouse shipping performance.
  • Prepare and administer quarterly carrier reviews and identify areas for improvement.

Your Profile:

  • 3–5+ years' experience in logistics, distribution, inventory control, or customer service—preferably within pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or medical devices.
  • Experience with international logistics and global supplier coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and ERP systems (SAP, QAD, Oracle).
  • Strong administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound understanding of Incoterms, freight optimization, and cost-effective transport strategies.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external 3PL providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field.
  • Experience working in compliance-heavy industries such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of inventory and financial interdependencies in ERP environments.
  • Experience writing SOPs and managing carrier performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with global logistics documentation and customs procedures.
