Description
Help us craft AI conversations that change lives.
At Mindset Health, we're looking for a brilliant writer to design engaging, emotionally intelligent dialogues that empower people throughout their health journey. You don't need to have a conversational design background but you do need to understand how to craft dialogue that moves people - we love our novelists, poets and playwrights.
You'll be part of a small, high-impact team, creating adaptive, therapeutic conversation flows that quite literally improve lives. Working alongside writers, designers, engineers, and psychologists, you'll bridge the gap between human care and advanced AI, ensuring every user feels understood, supported, and connected.
We're a hybrid team in Cremorne, Melbourne, and welcome applicants who are local or open to relocating.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and refine therapy dialogues between a user and an AI therapist.
- Create prompts for generative AI to deliver magical, product-level experiences.
- Integrate psychological principles into emotionally intelligent, clinically sound conversations.
- Collaborate with engineers, clinicians, and product teams to prototype, test, and refine experiences.
- Implement personalisation strategies informed by user data and history.
- Establish ethical guardrails and escalation processes to protect user safety and trust.
- Translate user research into design improvements that enhance engagement and effectiveness.
- Maintain conversation style guides so every interaction is consistent, on-brand, and deeply human.
What you'll bring to the role
- A strong writer with a keen ear for dialogue and the way people
really
talk. - Skilled at writing from different viewpoints in voices that aren't necessarily your own.
- Deeply aware of the impact of words: you know when to be warm, chatty, or precise.
- Experience designing chatbot or voice assistant dialogues that emphasise empathy and emotional nuance.
- Not necessarily a psychology expert, but curious and willing to learn therapy modalities and frameworks. (Maybe you've studied psych, or spent time in therapy yourself)
- Familiarity with prompt design and large language models (LLMs).
- Creative storyteller, able to adapt to digital and conversational contexts.
- Collaborative, agile, user-centric, and driven by curiosity and empathy.
Why join Mindset Health?
Join a pioneering team dedicated to revolutionising mental health care through innovative AI technology. At Mindset Health, your work directly impacts users' well-being, combining psychological expertise with cutting-edge digital experiences.
- Impact That Matters:
You'll help us connect practitioners and patients with support that improves lives. - Autonomy & Ownership:
This is your lane to own, build, and evolve. - Growth-Minded Culture:
Work with curious, kind, and smart people who love learning. - Human-Centered Perks:
Competitive salary, equity options, healthcare & wellbeing support, generous parental leave, menstrual & menopause leave, and tailored L&D.
We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, abilities, and identities. We want our team to reflect the world we're serving.
Ready to shape the future of therapeutic conversations? Apply today and help us build technology that truly cares.
