Data and Technology Manager
About The Role
This is a role for a curious, capable, and commercially minded problem solver. As our first
dedicated Data & Technology Manager, you will be at the heart of how GO.FARM uses data and
AI to drive performance, unlock efficiency, and scale smarter. In addition to driving data and AI
innovation, you will also oversee the integration and performance of GO.FARM's enterprise IT
systems, support our cyber security posture, and lead the relationship with our external IT
service provider
You'll work across the business, from farm operations to finance, to create and embed tools
that support better decision-making, smarter workflows and scalable growth.
This role blends technical expertise with creativity. You'll build dashboards, automate
processes, and prototype AI-enabled tools that shift how we work, and what we're capable of.
You will be working alongside people who are passionate, capable and deeply committed to the
positive legacy GO.FARM is building across Australia.
About You
You're as comfortable asking "why?" as you are asking "how?".
You thrive in environments where technology is a means to a greater end — and where the real
reward is seeing your work deliver tangible value to others.
You'll thrive here if you connect with the GO.FARM Way, a shared commitment to Curiosity,
Courage, Collaboration and Care. These values guide how we show up, how we lead, and how we
grow. You bring ideas to the table, back yourself to try something new, and care deeply about
the work you do and the people you do it with. You likely have:
- 3–5+ years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence or AI implementation roles
- Strong Power BI capability — DAX, Power Query (M), SQL and Excel
- A solid understanding of AI tools (LLMs, Generative AI, automation platforms), and how to apply them in real-world business contexts
- Experience delivering fit-for-purpose digital tools, dashboards or automations in fast-paced environments
- Experience working with IT service providers or vendors, and a sound understanding of enterprise IT environments, including infrastructure, networking, cyber security and end-user support models.
- An analytical mindset and track record of driving commercial outcomes through data
- Excellent communication skills — you're confident bridging the technical and the practical, with no ego and a focus on supporting those around you.
Bonus points if you have experience in agriculture or investment environments. Even better if you're someone who likes to build things from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a builder. Create and maintain BI dashboards, AI-powered tools and automation workflows that make our people more informed, productive and effective.
- Partner with the business. Work closely with teams across farm operations, investment, finance and people to identify challenges and design tech-enabled solutions.
- Lead data-driven improvement. Help us move from data to insight to action — at scale.
- Champion AI adoption. Educate and support teams in the responsible and practical application of AI, including LLMs, chatbots and process automations.
- Maintain internal tools. Own the development and maintenance of internal tools and systems that rely on data analytics or AI integration.
- Shape our tech roadmap. Help set the strategy for AI and data technology adoption across the business.
- Stay ahead of the curve. Monitor developments in analytics and AI and introduce ideas that help GO.FARM stay future-focused.
- Lead the relationship with GO.FARM's external IT provider, ensuring service levels are met, risks are managed, and systems are maintained to support a high-performing and secure business environment.
- Support the integration, performance and improvement of enterprise IT systems, including collaboration platforms, cloud services, security tools and hardware infrastructure.
- Champion cyber security awareness and policy compliance across the business, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and the IT provider to mitigate risks and respond to emerging threats.
