Bullfrog is a Growth Company. We help businesses make evidence-based growth decisions. And then execute on those decisions with distinctiveness. Across all 4Ps.
At the pond we live by three things:
· Believe - in the work, in each other, in what we're building.
· Behave - like we give a damn, because we do.
· Belong - to something generous, ambitious and unashamedly obsessed.
We're building the kind of culture we've all wanted to work at. One with purpose, edge, and a point of view.
If that sounds like something you want to be part of, jump in. This isn't business as usual. It's Bullfrog.
Overview
We're seeking a hands-on, growth-minded Human Resource Specialist to lead development, compliance, and talent planning at Bullfrog - with a clear mandate: build a culture that scales.
In close partnership with the General Manager, this role will establish and embed people systems that track performance, manage risk, and develop a future-ready talent pipeline. You'll leverage both traditional HR practices and AI-enabled tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across the employee life cycle. You'll be a driving force in how we nurture company culture to ensure it's a place people love to work.
This is not a policy desk job. It's a delivery role with visibility and impact across the company.
This role is for 3-days a week, with possibility to grow in to a full-time position. We ask that this role is on site for all three days.
Key Responsibilities
Performance & Development
- Design and embed performance frameworks, using AI where possible to surface insights on capability gaps and learning needs
- Coach managers on feedback, development conversations, and goal setting
- Track learning and development data with predictive analytics for succession planning
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure legislative compliance across employment, WHS, and HR policy
- Maintain and update internal policies and employment documentation
- Explore AI-enabled compliance monitoring to reduce manual admin and risk exposure
- Partner with legal or external advisors where necessary
Talent Planning & Pipeline
- Develop workforce plans aligned to business strategy, incorporating predictive AI modeling
- Build internal succession and external talent pipelines for key roles
- Identify and close capability gaps across the business using data-driven insights
- Lead or support hiring plans in collaboration with department leads
Culture & Engagement
- Own employee life cycle rituals: onboarding, check-ins, off boarding
- Deliver engagement programs and sentiment tracking with AI-enabled listening tools
- Support and evolve company culture through behaviours, rituals, and recognition
- Act as a sounding board and counsel to managers and employees
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HR systems and reporting tools, introducing AI where it improves speed and accuracy
- Track and report people metrics (e.g., turnover, development, engagement)
- Recommend and implement new HR tech to improve people operations
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in people, talent or organisational development roles
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance obligations
- Experience designing and delivering L&D programs and performance systems
- Ability to coach managers and influence cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AI-enabled HR tech (e.g., predictive workforce planning, sentiment analysis, automated compliance tracking)
- Experience driving culture in an entrepreneurial environment
- Comfortable working independently to build systems from the ground up with executive oversight and support
- High trust operator with clear, empathetic communication
Measures of success
- AI-enabled reporting gives leadership real-time visibility on workforce trends, risks, and readiness
- Development plans and performance expectations are consistent and actionable
- Compliance risks are proactively flagged and managed, with minimal manual overhead
- Succession planning and talent pipelines are mapped against growth priorities
- Engagement and feedback loops are active, automated, and acted on
- Managers feel supported and capable in people leadership
- GM and ELT have foresight, not just hindsight, on workforce health
Our in office days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday is an optional WFH day.
