Your new role
We're seeking a skilled Functional Analyst to act as the vital link between business needs and technical solutions. In this role, you'll lead the design and delivery of Core Platform solutions, working closely with the Platform Owner and guiding software engineers to build scalable, flexible systems that align with customer goals and operational requirements.
6-month contract with 6-month extension
Location : St George's Terrace
Pay Rate: $100 p hr + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure solution designs align with the established architectural framework.
- Collaborate with customers during the testing phase of platform solutions and products.
- Translate the needs of IT customers-including non-functional requirements and compliance obligations-into clear, actionable solution requirements.
- Define and promote the use of industry-standard modelling techniques (e.g., User Stories), tools, and practices for developing system requirements and technical specifications.
- Break down complex business requirements into manageable user stories or tasks, ensuring clarity and feasibility for the platform delivery team.
What you'll need to succeed
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in functional analysis within a technology or insurance platform environment.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture and system design principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools used for requirement gathering and analysis.
