About the opportunity:

This is a field-based role reporting to the Education Manager. The Salon and Retail Educator role is paramount in adding value to our leading brand and delivering the experience customers have come to love and expect from ghd hair.

Working closely with the salon field team and retailers building a bespoke education plan for each individual needs, you will be empowered to not only deliver ghd's superior technology messaging but also inspire with creative styling techniques and help empower them to sell our tools.

As both a salon and consumer centric brand we host events of different size and scale across the country, where you will be assisting or leading locally, working with the cross functional teams to make sure we have maximum return on investment and showcasing the ghd brand in a impactful way.

Working in the digital space a ghd educator allocates time in the diary to also create content to share not only on their own platforms but with the potential to be showcased globally, briefings of content requirements are given from the Education Manger to the education team to create engaging, informative and digestible social media deliverables.

The education team at ghd are true team players who assist in the execution of many parts of the business and help towards the success of gaining salon and consumer brand love as being true masters of end-to-end heat styling in the beauty industry.

In this role you will:

• Work closely with ghd Account Managers partnering with salons and key retailers to educate their teams on ghd products, tool usage and how to create the current trends – F2F & Virtually.
• Assess account needs providing recommendations on opportunities to grow business and drive sales through education.
• Actively search for and develop relationships with new salons to entice them to stock and promote our ghd products.
• Create and deliver engaging and motivating education sessions to salon and retail accounts, teams, and larger groups.
• Create engaging educational content for both professional and consumer social channels.
• Assist with the running of large events where ghd has a presence.
• This role also has an aspect of travel across regional NSW and the ACT.

About you:

You will possess the following experience and / or attributes:

• Qualified Hairdresser (5+ years as a senior stylist)
• Advanced skills in creative hair styling
• 2+ years' experience in an education role is preferential.
• Proven experience with digital education and content creation for professional and consumer audiences
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suit (namely word, excel & PowerPoint)
• In depth knowledge of current hair fashion trends and the hair industry in general
• Energetic, self-motivated, with an autonomous approach to work
• Exceptional communications skills – both written and verbal
