About the Role

In this critical leadership role, you will lead the LexisNexis Australia and New Zealand (Pacific) businesses, responsible for formulating and executing major strategies, programs and objectives to ensure the successful growth of the business in the ANZ region. This role requires a driven leader with a deep understanding of the AI/technology landscape, proven business acumen, and the evidenced ability to drive operational excellence while fostering a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive country strategy for AU and NZ aligned with the company's global objectives. Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes to formulate and implement strategic initiatives that drive business expansion and profitability.

  • Business Development and Growth: Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across the business. Implement best practices, streamline processes, and leverage technology to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement.

  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the country budgets, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and ensure adherence to financial targets and objectives.

  • Talent Management and Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes innovation, accountability, and professional growth. Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to your leadership team.

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, government agencies, and industry associations. Represent the company at industry events and forums.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks, implement appropriate controls, and maintain a robust risk management framework.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with global teams, to align strategies, share best practices, and leverage resources and expertise across the organization

Requirements

  • Educated in Business Management or a related discipline highly regarded
  • Deep professional experience, with significant P&L management experience
  • Proven experience operating in a matrix Multinational Corporation organization (regionally and globally).
  • Cross-cultural business management expertise gained through multi-department people management
  • Commercial acumen, strategic visionary and execution capability
  • Strong executive communication skills, effectively collaborating with global functions
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with an AI/Tech driven mindset
  • Possess business planning and development capabilities
  • Possess conflict management and talent management skills, able to build high-performance environments
  • Deep knowledge of Information Services industry is highly advantageous
