We're working with a well-known retail brand to find an experienced HR Generalist for a 12 month maternity leave contract. This is a great opportunity to support a national retail workforce within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of customer service. This role is hybrid, with 4 days in office and 1 remote.

The Role
Supporting a workforce of over 300 retail staff nationally, this HR Generalist role is part of a tight-knit HR team reporting into a senior HR leader. You'll provide day-to-day HR support across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to projects and process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance, and exits
- Providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance
- Partnering with store leadership on people-related matters
- Maintaining HR records and supporting systems
- Assisting with employee engagement, wellbeing and HR initiatives
About You
- You have at least 3 years' generalist HR experience, ideally within a retail or multi-site environment
- You're proactive, confident, and able to work at pace in a busy team
- You bring strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You're comfortable advising frontline leaders and handling day-to-day HR queries
- Experience with HRIS platforms is a plus
- You're aligned with a values-led, customer-focused brand
