About the role

Jungle Sports is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Coach to join our team and lead our Jungle Sports and NEXT Athletics children's programs. This role (approximately 10-20 hours per week) will see you working at venues throughout Perth, WA.

Jungle Sports is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Coach to join our team and lead our Jungle Sports and NEXT Athletics children's programs. The NEXT Athletics program, proudly developed by Athletics Australia, is the official national junior athletics program designed to help kids build essential sport and life skills through fun, games-based activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions for children and young people to develop their fundamental movement skills and sport-specific skills
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
  • Monitoring and evaluating participant progress, providing feedback and adjusting programs as needed
  • Collaborating with the broader Jungle Sports team to continuously improve the Jungle Sports Kids program
  • Promoting the Jungle Sports brand and programs to the local community

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching children and young people, with a strong understanding of child development and teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants of all ages and abilities
  • A passion for sports, health, and fitness, and a commitment to supporting the development of children and young people
  • Relevant sports coaching qualifications and/or certifications
  • Current first aid and working with children certification

Shifts - Please note the shifts will be 2-3 hours each during the mornings and afternoons. You will also be required to work Saturday and or Sunday mornings for 2-3 hours.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
