Ground Recruitment is a Pty Ltd company established in July 2022. It exclusively provides highly specialised permanent recruitment services and high-performance coaching to geotechnical engineers, geologists and select clients across Australia and New Zealand.
This client is a privately owned and operated Australian company with the decision makers and owners residing mainly on the east coast of Australia. Their offices are in Brisbane, Melbourne and, most recently, Perth. They are technically focused and have a solid team of senior geotechnical engineers to learn from.
They are building the Perth office around a well-known engineer who comes from a background working for specialist contractors at a senior management level. The company is very well respected within our industry. It has an extensive database of pile test results for pile design, giving them a competitive edge on projects. Other focus areas of investigation and design include foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, temporary works, crane and drill pads and slope stability.
To be put forward to the client for the position of Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Perth, you will be required to demonstrate that you have had previous local work experience (8+ years) in the design and analysis for piling, foundation systems, ground improvement, retaining structures and slope stability.
You will also have experience preparing/reviewing proposals for field investigations, design advice or construction support. You should be comfortable writing technical memos and factual and interpretative reports with minimum review changes and be relaxed working with more junior staff to help them develop. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your project management experience and that you can run a site investigation when required.
From an analysis and design perspective, you should have had exposure to software packages similar to Plaxis 2d & 3d, Slide 2d, Settle 3d, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
