Amazing opportunity to join a global Tech Giant for a Senior Data Science 12 Month contract - with lots of impact on software product strategy & decisions If you have been in an advanced analytics or senior Product Analytics role, this could also suit (so long as you have done some modelling).

This role will see you work on massive user data alongside a small, friendly team of data scientists across several of their key Products (which have millions of users worldwide). Good experience

You will often lead your own work - answering key questions around Product, Growth and Customer Analytics (use of software products, trends, how they engage with SaaS product). Key stakeholders include Product Owners, Growth Managers, other Analytics and Data teams & Software Engineering Managers.

This Data Science role will include a mix of Analytics, some ML, Statistics, A/B Testing, Experimentation, Data Visualisation and presenting insights in compelling and actionable ways for the business.

About the role and requirements:

Location
: Remote friendly within AEST/AEDT, but Sydney & Melbourne preferred (for some office visits)

Pay
: $800-$850 per day including superannuation, depending on experience

Duration:
12 Month contract

Must-have experience:

  • Over 6 years of professional experience in Data Science roles, with heavy preference for past experience working in a SaaS / Tech company or global internet businesses
  • Strong understanding of Product Analytics/Product Data Science, Customer Analytics and/or Growth Analytics
  • The focus in this role is business impact more than complex ML, deep learning or GenAI engineering.
  • Tableau for Analysis & Visualisation (and happy to work on dashboarding / viz)
  • SQL - advanced queries, table joins, data wrangling and building some of your own ETLs
  • Strong communication with stakeholders - translation of data to insights & ability interpret large data sets
  • Python and relevant Python ML libraries
  • Databricks experience is preferred
  • Presenting to senior stakeholder and managing priorities
