About the business and the role:

We are an International Logistics company specialising in perishable cargo. Currently located in a new warehouse within the Melbourne Airport Precinct, this is a fantastic opportunity with a global company who is continuing to expand.

We have a high focus on customer service and getting the job done. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sea freight team as a Sea Bookings Team Leader. The bookings team is vital as is where the freight journey begins, the start of the process and your opportunity to grow your career.

Main Duties will include:

  • Leading a small team to achieve their goals and deadlines
  • Manage Bookings for Sea freight team
  • Building and maintaining relationships with Shipping Lines
  • Managing weekly allocations with carriers
  • Issuing Booking confirmations directly to Clients
  • Arranging Equipment releases & container allocations
  • Creating Consol & Shipments & Edoc within Cargowise
  • Maintaining Vessel schedules and transhipments for clients
  • Tracking cargo arrivals for clients, scanning and filing.
  • Providing a high level of customer service and attention to detail

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of Sea freight experience is preferred
  • Experience in Cargowise
  • Knowledge of perishable freight will be considered advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
