The Group Reservations Manager plays a key leadership role at Meriton Suites, overseeing the day-to-day management of our Group team and ensuring a seamless booking journey for all prospective and confirmed guests. You'll be responsible for coordinating group reservations across multiple hotel properties, supporting your team to deliver exceptional service, and ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes.

This role covers every aspect of group reservations — from managing enquiries and agreements, to rostering team members, monitoring performance, and delivering accurate reporting. It's the perfect opportunity for a confident, people-focused leader who thrives on detail and enjoys building both team success and guest satisfaction.

The role is based at our head office on Kent St, in the heart of Sydney CBD. This position is fully on-site, office-based. Please note, there are no work-from-home or hybrid options available.

As our Group Reservations Manager, you'll:

  • Provide day-to-day management and support to our reservations team, ensuring service excellence at every step.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and celebrate achievements.
  • Oversee rostering and leave management to keep the team balanced and supported.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for guest queries or complaints, resolving them with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, rate structures, and booking procedures.
  • Collaborate with hotel front office and revenue management teams to guarantee group booking accuracy.
  • Manage group enquiries — from quoting and securing agreements, to coordinating with the Group Reservations Specialist, ensuring smooth processes from signed agreements to timely payments and accurate forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate reports, files, and shared systems, conducting regular audits to keep everything running seamlessly.
  • Oversee end to end billing and payment collection for all group bookings.

About You

  • Experience managing group reservations across multiple hotel properties.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient with reservation and property management systems.
  • Skilled at coordinating with multiple departments and handling booking changes.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in managing a reservations team.
