About the role

We are seeking an experienced reservations consultant to join our friendly domestic team managing reservations for Australian Walking Holidays, Tasmanian Expeditions and Australian Cycle Tours.

Ideally you will have a strong track record in the travel industry, a passion for our style of active travel, and a friendly and efficient working style.

The position is a full-time 12 month maternity contract, based in our Sydney office (with the opportunity to extend for the right candidate).

What you'll be doing

  • Providing exceptional customer service assisting customers via phone and email
  • Accurately processing customer bookings, payments, and related travel documentation
  • Offering suggestions and solutions to enhance the customer booking experience
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all customer interactions
  • Liaising with operators on group details including special requirements, rooming lists etc

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a customer-facing reservations or travel consultant role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent self-organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Passion for adventure travel
  • A great team player with a positive outlook
  • An eye for detail
