About the Role:

Kings Resources, in partnership with our valued client in the Queensland Government, is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to provide high-level technical administration across critical enterprise systems, both on-premise and cloud-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Windows OS Servers and 3rd party software (on-prem & cloud)
  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, and Private Cloud environments
  • Manage and configure Veeam Backup solutions
  • Script and automate using PowerShell
  • Support server virtualization with VMWare ESXi and Hyper V
  • Maintain documentation, perform incident investigations, and provide 3rd level support
  • Assist in the migration of VMWare ESXi to Hyper V
  • Support design & implementation of DR/HA strategies
  • Liaise with Microsoft & Veeam for service requests
  • Mentor peers and contribute to a high-performing Data Centre Services team

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in complex Windows Server environments
  • Strong understanding of Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
  • Hands-on expertise with Veeam, VMWare, and Hyper V
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills
  • A collaborative mindset with mentoring and documentation experience
  • Background in government environments (highly desirable)
