Your core responsibilities will include:

• Planning and implementing Council-wide communications and marketing strategies

To succeed, you'll also bring:

• Proven experience in communications strategy and content development

• High-level written and verbal communication skills

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability

• Proficiency with digital tools, including Microsoft Office, desktop publishing software, and social media platforms

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities

• Understanding of community engagement practices

• Familiarity with web content management systems

• Skills in media relations, event coordination, and corporate publications

• The ability to stay calm, constructive, and solution-focused under pressure

As the ideal candidate, you're not just a communicator — you're a storyteller, a strategist, and a bridge between Council and community. You care deeply about accurate, timely, and respectful information sharing, and you understand the impact of strong communication on trust, transparency, and civic engagement.

In return for your talent and commitment, you'll receive a competitive salary of $76,232 – $86,964.80 p.a. + 12% superannuation, aligned with your qualifications and experience.

Our broader employment offering includes:
