Communications Officer, External Communications, Part-Time Contract

Your new company

Working for a NFP here in Sydney, you will be part of a high-performing team on a part-time basis working across all of their external communications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Social media: Draft and schedule posts, create graphics
  • External communications: Assist with newsletters, content and scripts
  • Website: Upload content, manage pages, test features
  • Output support: Proofread reports and materials
  • Event communications: Coordinate comms for

Events and media engagement

  • Managing external communications across digital, media, and public affairs
  • Creating graphics using Canva

Experience with Hubspot and Mailchimp would be a plus.

About You

You're a mid-senior communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You bring:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience in digital communications and social media
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to hit the ground running

  • A genuine interest in working in the not-for-profit sector.

  • Duration: 10-15 weeks

  • Start: Mid-October (potentially through to Christmas)
  • Days: 2 days/week (Tues & Wed in-office), potential to increase to 3 days. You must be able to work these days in the office, and you must be available immediately to commence in the role.
