Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Whispr Communications Full time
Overview

Whispr Communications is on the hunt for a bright, driven and media-savvy Communications Coordinator to join our boutique PR agency based in Surry Hills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent communications graduate with standout internship experience – or someone with up to a year in the industry – who is eager to learn and grow in the fast-paced world of public relations, communications, design and lifestyle media.

At Whispr, we're proud to partner with some of Australia's most respected names in architecture, interiors, and lifestyle. Known for our intelligent, design-led campaigns, we combine strategic thinking with creativity to deliver standout results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of PR and content campaigns for leading design, architecture and lifestyle clients.
  • Draft media materials including press releases, pitch notes, media lists, and social content.
  • Assist with media monitoring, reporting and measurement of campaign outcomes.
  • Help coordinate client meetings, WIPs and event logistics.
  • Maintain and update contact databases, editorial calendars and project trackers.
  • Build confidence in liaising with journalists, editors and influencers under guidance from senior staff.
  • Contribute ideas to brainstorms, research projects and new business proposals.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in communications, PR, journalism or a related field – plus strong internship experience or up to one year in a similar role.
  • A genuine interest in PR and the media landscape – you read the news, follow trends, and stay across what's being talked about.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in architecture, interiors and the creative industries.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Professionalism, warmth, initiative – and a good sense of humour.
What You'll Get in Return
  • Mentoring and support from a senior team that's invested in your growth.
  • Exposure to some of the most exciting names and projects in Australian design and lifestyle.
  • A creative, inclusive and positive agency culture.
  • A beautiful light-filled office in the heart of Surry Hills, surrounded by galleries, cafés and transport.
  • Genuine work–life balance, hands-on learning, and opportunities to grow your career.
