The team

People & Culture (P&C) is responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with ASIC's internal and external priorities across the full employee lifecycle. The team delivers initiatives, advice and services that support all ASIC team members.

The Experience & Operations team delivers essential frontline people services that support staff through the full employee life cycle. The team encompasses Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Emerging Talent, People & Pay Services and Business Partnering.

The role

Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the Head of Experience & Operations will play a critical role in executing the operational people functions. You will deliver a positive and consistent employee experience by ensuring our people have the right tools, systems, and processes in place.

You will be accountable for:

• Leading and aligning key HR operational programs
• Ensuring seamless coordination between operational areas and centre of excellence to align HR operations with business objectives.
• Implementing policies, procedures, and initiatives that support the employee lifecycle and enhance organisational effectiveness.
• Offering specialist technical advice on human resource and risk related issues
• Managing, budgets, resources, and risk frameworks to drive efficiency, ensure business continuity, and support organisational goals.

About you

The successful candidate will have significant experience in HR operations, with extensive knowledge in a variety of disciplines such as payroll, pay governance, analytics, compliance, project management, delivery or generalist human resources.

You will also demonstrate:

• Experience leading a business unit or function, including managing people, budgets and resources.
• Proficiency in leveraging data and insights to inform decisions, drive efficiencies, and shape HR strategies.
• Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and provide clear, high impact written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to service orientation, continuous improvement, safety, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Law, or a related business discipline, or equivalent professional experience
