Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Endocrinologist to join our senior staff leadership group and lead the Endocrinology team as Head of Unit. This position commences February 2026

About Northern Health:

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

Current capital works are underway including a new ambulatory care building, Emergency department and inpatient wards. About the Role:

This role requires a leader with a vision for innovation and service development and a track record in education training and research.

The head of unit endocrinology works with the medicine division and wider health service to manage develop and continuously improve the endocrinology service. This includes day to day running of operations as well as driving quality improvements, innovation, research, education, training and service development. They collaborate with other units and the wider health service to ensure high quality integrated care for patients in the Northern community.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in a medical leadership position
• Demonstrate ability to lead a team effectively and form collaborative relationships in the wider health service
• Demonstrated understanding of key components of operational logistics, quality improvement, service development and change management
• Well-developed research experience and vison to develop and drive the strategic research direction within the service
• Interest and experience in education and training
