The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will work alongside experienced project leaders and gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle, from feasibility and briefing through to approvals, delivery and handover. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile projects while developing the skills to become a confident and capable Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior leaders in managing project programs, design, procurement, approvals and delivery
  • Contribute to project governance, reporting and communication with clients
  • Assist in managing budgets, identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with consultant teams and contractors to keep projects on track
  • Build strong client relationships and represent Planix with professionalism and integrity

Skills and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years experience in project management, consultancy or construction support roles
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, construction, architecture or engineering
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
  • Organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in social infrastructure, residential or community projects is highly regarded
