With nearly 6,000 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million-dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

The Position:

We are actively seeking to fill the role of Medicals Coordinator within our People and Culture team. This position will play a crucial role in the mobilisation of site and office personnel.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Facilitate the booking of pre-employment medicals
  • Liaising with candidates and internal managers regarding medical appointments
  • Attending to all general enquiries in relation to the completion of the pre-employment medical process
  • Assistance with setting up for on-site random drug and alcohol testing
  • Liaise with the Safety department regarding suitability for employment following testing results
  • Liaise with OccuMed or other medical providers as required
  • Raise, review and receive in purchase orders for payment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience reviewing medical paperwork within the resources industries is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments
  • Objective and sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Strong skills in prioritisation, planning multi-tasking and time management
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve shared outcomes as well as autonomously
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality of information
