About Mortar Finance

As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a motivated and capable Finance Broker to join our team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Broker with experience in business banking or self-employed lending who thrives in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. This role will see you managing approximately 16 deals at any given time, supported by a dedicated associate and our settlements team. You'll be accountable for originating, qualifying, structuring, and delivering high-quality lending outcomes for clients while building strong relationships with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Originate and qualify new business opportunities with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Assess and structure deals for business owners and self-employed clients.
  • Manage an active pipeline of ~16 deals with support from associates and settlements.
  • Apply credit skills and risk assessment to ensure strong client outcomes.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, lenders, and referral partners.
  • Hold yourself accountable to targets and deadlines in a remote work environment.

  • Prior experience in business banking, commercial lending, or self-employed credit scenarios.
  • Strong credit analysis, risk assessment, and structuring skills.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder communication abilities.
  • Proven origination and business development skills.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working remotely.
