Pay: $40-$45 per hour (negotiable)

A warm and professional family in Redfern is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and attentive nanny to care for their 18-month-old daughter starting in February 2026. Their 3.5-year-old son will be attending daycare.

The child is bright, curious, and resilient, loving music, laughter, and creative play. She has specific medical needs and requires support with mobility, personal care, and bladder management through clean intermittent catheterisation (formal training will be provided). She is currently unvaccinated and immunosuppressed, so strict infection control is essential.

The role begins at 7:30 am with a brief handover with parents, followed by morning activities such as park visits, library trips, or play sessions. Responsibilities include managing meals, snacks, and nap times, supporting developmental activities, and maintaining a clean and organised play environment.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality, attentive care for a toddler in a calm, nurturing manner
  • Supporting developmental milestones through play, reading, and sensory activities
  • Performing clean intermittent catheterisation (training provided)
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
  • Tidying and maintaining play and meal areas
  • Monitoring for signs of illness or fatigue and communicating promptly with parents
  • Following strict infection control and hygiene protocols

  • Minimum 3 years' experience caring for infants/toddlers
  • At least 2 Australian-based child-related references
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and English skills
  • Fully vaccinated, including flu, COVID-19, MMR, DTP, and others as per standard schedule
