Our professional and easy going family in Redfern is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced Housekeeping Nanny to join their household. With two delightful young children, this role offers the perfect blend of childcare and household support for someone looking to become a valued and long-term addition to a busy but easy-going family.

The role begins around midday, providing dedicated time to support household tasks such as children's laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping before moving into hands-on childcare in the late afternoon. The household also benefits from a cleaner once a week, allowing the nanny to focus on these key tasks. The nanny will collect the children from daycare, provide a light snack and may take them for a play at the park, library visits, or simply spend time at home with creative activities. Evenings include preparing and serving dinner, assisting with bath and bedtime routines, and ensuring a calm, nurturing environment until parents arrive home.

Their 4-year-old enjoys arts and crafts, drawing, and collaging, and also takes part in Jiu Jitsu and swimming on other days of the week. Their toddler's personality is really starting to shine, bringing lots of joy and curiosity to the household. The family would love to encourage their 4-year-old to try new foods in a creative and positive way, helping to broaden her tastes.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and adaptable, with a genuine love of working with children while also taking pride in maintaining an organised and harmonious home.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Providing nurturing afternoon and evening care for two children
  • Collecting children from daycare and supervising outings or home play
  • Preparing healthy meals for the children (and occasionally the family)
  • Assisting with bath/shower and bedtime routines
  • Laundry for the children and light housekeeping duties
  • Tidying shared spaces and helping maintain household organization
  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping required
  • Kind, gentle approach to behaviour management preferred

  • Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Minimum 3+ years of nanny and household management experience
  • 2+ Australian-based references in child-related roles
  • National Police Check
  • Excellent communication skills and initiative
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents and adapt to family needs
  • Flexibility and a kind, patient nature
  • Valid Drivers Licence
