We are seeking a
Claims Officer
to provide efficient and accurate administration support to the compensation management team. The compensation management team forms part of the Health & Safety Department, which is part of the wider People & Culture division.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.
About The Role
Reporting to the Lead Compensation Management, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Administrative tasks to support the Compensation Management team including but not limited to
- the recording and lodgement of Workcover claims
recording of certificates of capacity and invoices
Be first point of contact providing advice to internal and external stakeholders and escalate as required
- Participate in safety change initiatives and projects as required to improve processes for AV's Injury & Claims Management practices
- Work collaboratively across the Recovery stream and with AV's WorkSafe Agent
- Participate as an effective team member, taking accountability for the provision of dependable, and fair and transparent advice and/or direction to colleagues and customers
About You
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- Working knowledge of worker's compensation legislation & relevant practices
- Experience using computerised claims management, financial and management information systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams
- Experience with dealing with customers and providing a high level of customer service
