As an Administration Officer in the Disability and Health Unit, you will have the opportunity to provide high-level executive support to the Head of the Unit, manage key projects, and ensure the smooth operation of our initiatives. Your role will be crucial in enabling our team to deliver research and events that make a significant impact on disability and mental health outcomes. You will gain valuable experience in project management, event coordination, and stakeholder collaboration, all while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive academic community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Executive Support and Coordination: Manage the Head of the Unit's diary, prioritise tasks, and provide high-level administrative assistance.
Event and Meeting Management: Organise and support workshops, seminars, and committee meetings, ensuring all logistics and accessibility needs are met.
Communication and Liaison: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and respond to internal and external enquiries, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Website and Project Support: Maintain the Unit's website and provide additional support for team members and projects as needed.

You will be a motivated professional with exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a high volume of varied tasks independently and collaboratively.
You may also:
Possess relevant experience in administrative roles and have a strong understanding of project management.
Demonstrate high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Exhibit a proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
Have a strong ability to build relationships and work well with staff at all levels.

The Disability and Health Unit is a group of researchers within the Centre for Health Policy aiming to deliver cutting-edge research, policy development and knowledge exchange to improve the health of people with disability. Staff work on a range of research projects focused on social, behavioural, and environmental contexts of health for people with disability and their families and carers in Australia and internationally.
The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences has an enviable research record and is the University of Melbourne's largest faculty in terms of management of financial resources, employment of academic and professional staff, teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate (including research higher degree) students and the conduct of basic and applied research.
