Role Description
This hybrid role of Disability Support Worker is based in Sydney, NSW, with some flexibility for remote work. The position involves providing day-to-day support for individuals with disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, developing personalized support plans, monitoring individual progress, and fostering meaningful connections. Administrative duties such as case and claims management may also be part of the role, ensuring the efficient coordination of services and resources.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Disabilities and Disability Management
- Experience in Case Management and Claims Management
- Excellent Communication skills to build trust and rapport with individuals
- Ability to adapt and provide person-centered support
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in disability services, social work, or a related field are a plus
- Demonstrated empathy, integrity, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work both on-site and remotely as needed
