About Us

The Australian Gas Association (AGA) is a national, not-for-profit organisation with a proud 100-year legacy of advancing public safety through the independent certification and testing of gas, plumbing and energy-related products. We are seeking a driven and technically capable Certification Client Manager to join our growing team.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a technically qualified individual to take on a client-facing, audit-driven role within a respected certification body. The successful candidate will primarily manage certification and annual audit programs for:

  • WaterMark (WM) plumbing products
  • Gas cylinder Test Stations (TS)
  • Other regulated and voluntary certification services as required

You will work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, auditors and internal technical experts to ensure compliance with relevant standards and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage certification and renewal projects for clients
  • Coordinate and conduct annual audits as required
  • Provide technical support and regulatory guidance to clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery
  • Prepare and review audit reports and certification documentation
  • Liaise with laboratories
  • Travel nationally and occasionally internationally for client and audit visits
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of AGA's certification systems and processes

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or a related technical field
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills
  • Confidence in working with standards, regulatory frameworks and technical documentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
