We're looking for an experienced Client Manager to join our fast-paced, dynamic environment where ideas and commercial acumen directly influence business growth. You will be the face of the brand for exhibitors, sponsors and partners, a trusted advisor who understands their customers' goals and deliver solutions that drive real outcomes.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is a strategic partner to our customers and focuses on developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. This involves understanding their unique needs and delivering effective media and marketing solutions, including events and digital products. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of client experiences, from onboarding and stand design to post-event reporting, while simultaneously driving satisfaction, retention and commercial growth. Ultimately, the Client Manager supports business growth by ensuring clients receive value, helping them reach their target audiences and positioning Diversified as a trusted partner.

Skills & Experience

The role will ideally suit someone with proven exhibition sales experience (minimum 5-7 years) within B2B exhibitions or events. You will have full ownership of the sales cycle, from strategy and prospecting to account growth and retention and trusted to manage your time and client portfolio with autonomy. You will thrive on accountability, be driven to outperform, and want to make a visible impact. To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Good commercial and business acumen and confidence in upselling or negotiating
  • Solid understanding of how clients achieve ROI with strong activity discipline i.e. 20+ quality calls per day, manage pipeline and proactively drive sales outcomes
  • Proven ability in telesales and securing new business (including cold calling). Professional phone manner, well-spoken and articulate
  • Proficient with CRM database management systems (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office
  • Team player mentality i.e. sharing wins, supporting each other and contributing to a positive culture
  • Resilient, takes ownership for results and learning and bounces back from setbacks quickly
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
  • Understanding floorplans, exhibition stand design and event operations will be an advantage
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and coachable, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Excellent organisational, time management, attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure (while retaining a sense of humour) and adaptable to different working environments
  • Willingness to travel interstate and attend events outside normal business hours when needed
  • A genuine interest in selling and the events/exhibition industry
